Water Bore Drilling & Installation around Perth
From Joondalup north through Wanneroo the ground is coastal-plain sand: loose, pale, free-draining, with limestone appearing as outcrop and as cut retaining walls between levels. A bore here is a sediment job in the ordinary sense — drilled, cased with slotted screen, gravel-packed and developed until the water runs clear. The corridor also runs along the coast, and the WA Government's garden bore guidance lists land within 200 m of the ocean as generally unsuitable, because of saltwater intrusion risks, so a coastal block is worth looking up on the Perth groundwater map first.
Access is rarely the constraint it is elsewhere. Estate blocks are wide-fronted and flat, side gates are generous, and a rig can usually reach the spot the bore should be rather than the spot it can get to — which matters, because bore position is chosen against where the retic manifold needs to be, not against where the truck fits.
Permits and your local government area rules
The watering rules here are the metropolitan ones and there is nothing corridor-specific to add: two rostered days a week by house number, before 9am or after 6pm, and no sprinklers at all from 1 June to 31 August.

Timing and lead times in Perth
The contractor confirms the timetable once the address has been checked against the map. A bore finished in winter cannot be run through the retic beyond testing, because sprinklers are switched off from 1 June to 31 August, and the Department deems testing to the minimum extent necessary to be no more than two minutes per station.
