Water Bore Drilling & Installation prices in Perth

A new Perth bore is published at A$3,000 to A$5,000 plus GST by one source and A$2,500 to A$5,000 by another. Depth, ground type and access move it more than anything else, which is why both bands are shown rather than averaged.

Ranges reflect typical Perth jobs and vary with access, site conditions and scope. Every figure on this page is a published band from a named Perth source, not a quote for your job. The two sources disagree at the bottom of the drilling band — A$3,000 against A$2,500 — and only one of them states GST, so both are shown rather than averaged into a number neither source supports. Depth, ground type and access move the final figure more than anything else. A firm price comes from a site visit — call (08) 6311 4037 or use the quote form.

What moves the number

Depth first — a bore near the coast in a low-lying suburb and a bore on a Hills ridge are not the same hole, and published Perth depths run from about 12 metres to over 80. Ground type second: sand is drilled and gravel-packed, rock is hammered, and the two do not take the same time or the same rig. Then access — whether a rig can reach the spot the bore needs to be, or whether it is working down the side of a house on a narrow block. Pump size follows the flow the retic actually needs, not the biggest pump available.

How a quote gets made

Nobody can price your bore off a postcode. The contractor needs the address to know the ground and the likely depth, the block to know the access, and the retic to size the pump. Published timing for the work itself is about a day to drill, case and develop the hole and another day for the pump, with about a week start to finish.

Priced by service

Repair figures below are the common small jobs, not a repair price list — a pump that has actually failed is a different conversation from one that has lost its prime.
